Peter Lynn Kites Donation to the Asean Kite Council

In 2008, Peter Lynn Kites Ltd donated a container load of kites, accessories and kite making materials for distribution to Asean kite fliers.

This comprised out of date stock from Vlieger Op in the Hague, Netherlands accepted in lieu of license payments by Peter Lynn Kites Ltd.

Amongst 48 categories of items, were more than 10,000m of ripstop nylon, 20,000m of fibreglass and carbon rod, 519 kitesurfing kites (C Quads and Arcs) 960 sets of kitesurfing flying lines, kite buggies, kite boards, miscellaneous single line kites and kite accessories.

Distribution was successfully accomplished with support from Master Logistics (Singapore), Gadis Widiyata Riyadi, Orlando Ongkingco and Scott Skinner (Drachen Foundation).

For years following, kites and materials from this donation were visible at kite events throughout Asia.
